Avril has been the spokesperson for ProActiv on commercials for a while now. I even saw it aired at a nearby pizzeria this week! Always great to see Avril while out and about, right?

If you haven’t seen the commercial, Avril’s speaks of how the product helped her with her struggle with acne, one she struggled with since the start of high school. Avril states on the commercial, “After trying everything–from toothpaste to rubbing alcohol, men’s aftershave to tea tree oil–I started using Proactiv. Fortunately, it really worked for me. Today, I still use Proactiv to help keep my skin clear.”

If you love Avril’s new “Alice” song–yet still long for something more in it–you’re in luck! The full version is being saved for the soundtrack of Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland” itself, and it will soon be available. It’s, quite naturally, to be called the album version. Something cool about it? A second verse featuring a great instrumental backing.

Meanwhile, I’m with you on continuing to enjoy the single version of “Alice.” Buy it from iTunes to help Avril continue to rise to the top of the charts there.

Avril Lavigne is really getting the word out about her new single, “Alice.” Her site has once again been updated, and you can see great photographs from her “Alice” video shoot. It looks like it’s going to be quite fit for wonderland.

She appeared on the Einslive, a German radio show, to promote her single and the movie, Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland.” She also did an interview with KDWB, where she touched on many subjects, as well as promoting “Alice” and discussing her new Abbey Dawn tattoo.

Well, it seems that “American Idol” just can’t get enough of Avril Lavigne. This is the second season of the show to have Avril, and they ran a previously unseen clip of her on Wednesday night’s show.

Avril’s hoodie on the show has gotten a lot of attention. If you want one for yourself, Avril sells hoodies as part of her clothing line Abbey Dawn at Kohl’s in the United States and at Kohls.com.

First of all, something all Avril fans will want to see: Mark Lidell has posted a recent photograph he took of Avril on his official Facebook page.

Also, Avril’s new song “Alice,” the soundtrack single from Tim Burton’s upcoming 3D film version of “Alice in Wonderland,” is now available for download on iTunes. Although you may have heard the previews, it’s worth buying the high quality song and enjoying it on your computer and mp3 player of choice. It sounds marvelous.

Congrats to Avril on the success of this single. Critics have already started to sing the praises of “Alice.” From About.com to many music blogs, hundreds of websites are buzzing with positive talk about the song.

Bill Lamb, of About.com, stated in an article on the site, that the song is raw and that it “provides a suitably dramatic intro to publicity for the upcoming film.”

What a wonderful introduction, indeed. I am more excited than ever to see the movie. How about you?

Avril Lavigne has seen great initial success with her new song “Alice” from Tim Burton’s upcoming “Alice in Wonderland.” She is involved with the film in a few ways. She’s providing the first song to the ending credits, the song that Disney is using to market the film, its first single and its first music video (which she filmed this week). Additionally, she designed a special line of “Alice in Wonderland” themed fashions for Abbey Dawn.

Avril has updated her blog today. In it, she states how the whole involvement with the project actually began with that line she was designing for Abbey Dawn. In fact, this story is one of the coolest things in the new blog post.

Avril says, “It all started off with me designing an Abbey Dawn/Alice In Wonderland collaboration for my fashion line at Kohls. I was working at the Disney offices going though graphic images from the movie for my designs and getting up to speed on the movie project. I was really inspired and excited about the film at that moment, so I asked Disney if they would like me to write the theme song for the film. They went back to Tim and he said yeah give it a go.”

Wonderful reader Mara requested video of Avril on “American Idol.” In the mega-successful reality show “American Idol,” Avril appeared on the show for the second time this past Tuesday. She appeared as a guest judge alongside fellow singer Katy Perry.

As usual with Avril, she inspires extreme reactions. Her big fans loved how she performed as a guest judge. Katy Perry may have taken a bit of the attention, with a bit of a tension-filled exchange with Kara DioGuardi. Avril seemed to get along with all.

Well, it has been one of the most exciting weeks for getting new Avril material! We heard two fun radio interviews with Avril Lavigne appearing on Ryan Seacrest’s KIIS radio show two days in a row. She guest judged on “American Idol” on Tuesday night alongside Katy Perry. Then, she debuted her new single “Alice,” to be a featured single from the soundtrack of Tim Burton’s “Alice in Wonderland.” Her official website then got a Wonderland make-over, and we got a sneak peak into the filming of her new music video for “Alice.”

Well, what a good week to be an Avril fan.
