Although reports surfaced a while ago that Avril Lavigne was going to be making an appearance on rapper Lil Wayne’s upcoming rock record titled Rebirth, representatives for Avril are now denying the story.  It was announced this weekend that Rebirth was going to be delayed until July 21, 2009 and every source who wrote about it said that Avril was a confirmed guest on the album.  So what gives?  Why didn’t her reps say anything about this almost 3 months ago when the reports first came out?  Was she on the album and then cut out for some reason?  Or did it just go unnoticed all these months?  Why didn’t Lil Wayne correct them?  The rep for Avril says that the rumors come from an Rolling Stone article that was incorrect.  Does anyone know what’s going on?

Oh boy!  You know how Avril Lavigne has been partying a lot without husband Deryck Whibley - but with huge party boy Brandon Davis and Paris Hilton instead?  Well, reports originating from gossip magazine In Touch Weekly are coming out saying that Deryck sent Brandon a text message that said, “Stay away from my wife.”

Woah, firstly the only reason that someone would know what a private text said would have been if

1. Someone (cough cough Brandon) leaked it to get more attention
2. It was completely made up for the sake of selling magazines
3. Someone is breaking into phone records in a super-spying/unethical type manner

So which is it?  An “insider” says that “Avril assured Deryck that it was a business dinner about art, since Brandon also makes a living as an art broker.  Deryck trusts his wife, it’s just Brandon he doesn’t trust.

Avril Lavigne is so funny!  When questioned by TMZ cameramen while leaving a club with husband Deryck Whibley the other night as to whether or not she’s pregnant, Avril simply replies, “Yeah, I’m such a fat ass” and starts giggling.  We stick to our theory that it’s just her attempt to draw publicity away from her recent non-Deryck partying companions lately (Paris Hilton & Brandon Davis), but it’s still a fun thing to speculate about!  Check out the video below:

Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley were spotted out again the other night, this time at club Coco de Ville in West Hollywood.  According to reports, Avril did not drink any alcoholic beverages at all, but instead stuck around the indoor patio smoking area with Deryck.  To further fuel pregnancy rumors, she was wearing a loose, jersey shirt.  As soon as clubgoers recognized her, Avril and Deryck left.

Hmmmm.  On one hand, the non-drinking could mean that she’s pregnant, but on the other hand, sitting in a room where people are smoking (the report doesn’t mention whether or not Avril was smoking), is not good for the health of an unborn baby, either.  Our guess is that her ‘people’ are just trying to drum up some publicity in order to make the press forget that she just spent a lot of time partying and clubbing with Paris Hilton and Brandon Davis.  What do you guys think?

Ah-ha!  We have uncovered the reason why Avril Lavigne, Deryck Whibley, Paris Hilton, Benji Madden, and Hilton’s new “BFF” Brittany Flickinger were all spotted at the same nightclub last week - It was the opening of the bar, Deluxe.  Avril and Deryck reportedly dined together at a restaurant they’ve been photographed leaving several times before, Madeo before they headed over to the club

In these pictures, notice that Deryck IS wearing his wedding ring, but Avril stays careful to hide her left had behind Deryck’s body.  However, if you check out this set of photos, you’ll see that in the first picture (of Avril pointing at something or someone), she doesn’t have her wedding ring on.  It looks like it could simply be on her index finger (the one that’s pointing), which is weird but at least she’s got it on.

Why do you think she wouldn’t be wearing it while Deryck had his on?  Is she trying to send a message?  Is it on that first finger because it’s too big for her ring finger?  Or is it simply at the jewelers getting cleaned or something?

Avril Lavigne gave an interview with OK! magazine about her new clothing line, Abbey Dawn, her canceled shows on the Best Damn Tour, rumors of partying, that rumor of brunette-only back-up singers, and much more. Here’s the Q&A portion:

There are hordes of fans lined up around the building today to meet you and see your new clothing line. That has to feel nice.
It kind of feels like my birthday or something. It’s a whole new experience for me — to have a crowd of people and it not really having anything to do with my music.

How involved with the design were you?
I am the designer and the concept obviously came from me. As far as designing goes, I just sat down and told everyone what I love and what I don’t like, and basically the clothes are everything that I would wear.

Was it important for you to keep prices down on the items in your line?
It’s definitely important. The clothes that I wear are affordable. I don’t really wear that many high-end stuff, so pretty much everything is from $24-$48 so it’s really affordable for young people.

Where did the name Abbey Dawn come from?
That was nickname from my dad when I was a little girl. It was my alias name when I first started my musical career. I used to think maybe I’ll have a girl and call her Abbey one day, but I had a clothing line first.

Speaking of which: Are you planning on having children someday?
Oh God! I don’t want to have kids for like 10 years. I still have a lot to do. I don’t even know if I could handle a dog right now. I’m so not ready. Someday I’ll be a mom but not until I’m in my 30s.
