Deryck Whibley is speaking out!   Amidst rumors that he and wife Avril Lavigne are getting a divorce, Deryck released a statement through his management firm, which reads:

“For the record, we strongly deny the inference of marital problems between Avril and Deryck.  We also strongly deny the National Enquirer claims of any other liasions.  Deryck has in fact been traveling through Asia performing with Avril as evidenced by the numerous YouTube videos.”

As for his own words, Deryck adds, “I’m actually very surprised that so many media outlets picked this story up. Since when did the National Enquirer become a trustworthy news source?”

Probably since they were correct about John Edwards having an affair.  But just because you get something right once, doesn’t mean you always will…

Oh no!!!  Reports have been coming in like crazy that Avril Lavigne and Deryck Whibley are having problems in their marriage and may even be getting divorced!!!!  Check this out:

Despite just two years of marriage, the in-your-face bubblegum rockers are ending their relationship, according to US reports.

Trouble has been brewing since the Complicated singer embarked on her world tour earlier this year.

It is believed the distance put pressure on the couple and as her career soared, the SUM 41 frontman waved goodbye to fame.

A source said: “They have been growing apart for months. Deryck isn’t motivated in his own career, so he’s been drinking and partying.”

Rumours of their split were fuelled when Deryck was spotted at an LA event this week “huddled at a private table” and holding hands with an unknown woman.

Avril has a small pink heart-shaped tattoo with the letter D on her right wrist… maybe it’s time to make an appointment to remove it.
