Avril Lavigne NOT Collaborating With Lil Wayne

May 26, 2009 by Colleen

Although reports surfaced a while ago that Avril Lavigne was going to be making an appearance on rapper Lil Wayne’s upcoming rock record titled Rebirth, representatives for Avril are now denying the story.  It was announced this weekend that Rebirth was going to be delayed until July 21, 2009 and every source who wrote about it said that Avril was a confirmed guest on the album.  So what gives?  Why didn’t her reps say anything about this almost 3 months ago when the reports first came out?  Was she on the album and then cut out for some reason?  Or did it just go unnoticed all these months?  Why didn’t Lil Wayne correct them?  The rep for Avril says that the rumors come from an Rolling Stone article that was incorrect.  Does anyone know what’s going on?

Avril Lavigne To Appear on Lil Wayne’s New Album!

March 5, 2009 by Colleen

Lil Wayne is bringing in some heavy hitters for his newest album, “Rebirth” - including Avril Lavigne!! Avril will appear in a yet-untitled track on the upcoming rock/hip-hop hybrid album.  The only thing that’s been leaked about the song that Avril’s appearing in is that it’s a “reimagined skate-punk anthem.”  Sounds just up Avril’s alley!

Other guests (the ones who have been announced thus far) are Fall Out Boy and Korn’s Jonathan Davis.  “Rebirth” isn’t out until May 19, 2009 and get this: Lil Wayne recorded 30 songs for it already!  We’ll keep you posted on any news or leaks about the song Avril’s guesting in…

P.S. As a bonus, we’ll throw in the video for “Prom Queen” which is Lil Wayne’s first single off the album.  Stay tuned after the jump

June 20, 2008 by Colleen

Avril_Kingston13Avril Lavigne is being featured on Girl Talk’s latest album, Feed the Animals.  The album is available online & follows the same standard set by Radiohead’s In Rainbows, which came out last fall: fans can pay whatever they’d like to pay in order to download it.   Other artists on the album are Lil Wayne, Lil JonRod Steward, Blackstreet, Procol Harum, Ace of Base, Kanye West, the Band, and the theme from Dawson’s Creek.

Wow, that’s a pretty random mix of artists, huh?  Avril Lavigne, Kanye West, and Rod Steward?!  Okay…
